This year, the 'Railway Festival in Hokkaido' celebrating Railway Day returns to Kita 3-jo Plaza (Akaplaza) in Chuo Ward, Sapporo. This popular annual event brings together booths from railways and trams across Hokkaido, featuring merchandise sales, displays, and hands-on experiences for children.
Highlights include commemorative photos with railway characters and a railway crossing emergency button experience. Last year saw 26 booths and drew large crowds. Come enjoy the festival with family and friends.
